The Situation

NERA was retained by a major European group to replace a management fee-based system with a new system for determining arm's length intercompany charges for intellectual property and for routine and non-routine services provided by the Group's European headquarters to its numerous Chinese manufacturing and distribution companies.

The Result

Using both expert surveys and profit split methods, NERA's economic and financial analyses quantified the Chinese benefits resulting from access to the European technology, manufacturing know-how, and entrepreneurial services.
