Hosted By: Beacon Events

This conference provided a broad overview of China's recent antimonopoly enforcement activities in the context of antitrust review in the Asian-Pacific area, the US, and the EU. The conference was held on 25-27 May 2010 in Beijing, China. Topics included detailed discussions of the evolving merger review process in China, recent developments in abuse of dominance cases, and cartel cases in China and worldwide. The conference also held panels on antitrust compliance programs in the context of shifting standards and provided advice on the information that needed to be compiled in preparing for a joint-venture or merger application. Three NERA experts gave presentations as part of the conference. On the second day of the event, Senior Consultant Dr. Fei Deng discussed how abuse of dominant market position cases are being handled in China, particularly in Chinese courts. On the third day, Dr. Cox discussed the differing treatment of Intel in jurisdictions around the world and Dr. Leonard examined trends in cartel enforcement in the United States.
