The Association of Canadian General Counsel held its 2010 fall conference in Chicago, Illinois on 23 September 2010. NERA Senior Vice President Dr. Faten Sabry participated in a panel on US financial reform along with James Carlson and Charles Horn, partners at Mayer Brown. Dr. Sabry presented on the causes and effects of the financial crisis in the context of the US and Canadian experience. She discussed the factors that ultimately led to the US financial regulatory reforms and assessed the potential impact of the reforms on the future of consumer finance and the commercial paper market.
