Transfer Pricing in China: Economic Issues and Insights, Part I
NERA recently ran a series of events in China and Europe demonstrating the transfer pricing capabilities of NERA in China. In Part I, experts from NERA's Global Transfer Pricing Practice led a knowledge-sharing training session on intangibles for China's State Administration of Taxation (SAT). Special Consultant Pim Fris (Paris) and Vice President Sébastien Gonnet (Beijing) each participated. They explained key factors in intangible analyses, marketing premia, location-related advantages, and the application of the residual profit split method. They also presented intensive case studies. China SAT has become increasingly interested in transfer pricing issues, and particularly in the analysis of intangibles created by local Chinese affiliates.
