Throughout the past decade, directors and officers of corporations have faced constantly increasing liability. With this in mind, the New York City Bar Center for CLE held a program on 9 June 2011 that examined present and future exposures facing directors and officers, the D&O marketplace, recent legal developments, and the impact of coverage defenses on claim resolution. NERA Senior Vice President Dr. John Montgomery participated in a panel discussion entitled "The Life of a Claim: Special Considerations of D&O Claims Handling." Dr. Montgomery provided his insights on recent trends in filings, dismissals, settlements, and subject matter.
