NERA Director Dr. Francesco Lo Passo delivered a presentation on the economics of small nuclear reactors at this conference in Milan on 8 June 2011. Based on a preliminary analysis by NERA Vice President Edward Kee, Dr. Lo Passo's presentation examined the advantages and disadvantages of building small nuclear reactors. Dr. Lo Passo argued that, based on the economic evidence that is currently available, it is not yet possible to conclude that small reactors will deliver benefits.
