In New York City on 30 June 2011, NERA Vice President Dr. Sharon Brown-Hruska participated in a seminar hosted by Fordham Law School and Morrison & Foerster to discuss recent developments in US law. Dr. Brown-Hruska served on a panel entitled "The Emergence of Clearinghouse Regulation for OTC Derivatives." The panel discussed recent proposals by the CFTC and SEC regarding what is eligible for and required to be cleared, capital and margin requirements, clearinghouse ownership and membership requirements, and systemic risk.
