The Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association hosted a brown bag seminar and teleconference on 21 March 2007 to discuss the economic issues surrounding cartel enforcement. NERA Senior Consultant Dr. Laila Haider participated on the panel, which included enforcement officials from the EU Commission and the Antitrust Division at the US Department of Justice. The panelists discussed using economic evidence in assessing liability, determining fines, and preparing for litigation. J. Mark Gidley of White and Case, LLP moderated the discussion.
