NERA Director Graham Shuttleworth chaired this one-day symposium in Brussels on 16 April 2008. The conference was organized by the APX Group, which is responsible for several power and gas exchanges in Europe, to address the timely topics of market concentration (including ownership unbundling) and market integration (including the role for common multinational market rules). Over 100 delegates from the European energy sector heard a range of speakers, including national regulators such as Sir John Mogg of Ofgem and Walter Boltz of E-Control; industry representatives from ETSO and EFET; and members of the financial community.
