Leading experts in the areas of insurance and risk convened at this year's Casualty Actuarial Society spring meeting in Québec City on 15-18 June 2008. As part of the conference, on 17 June NERA Vice President Dr. Stephanie Plancich participated in a panel discussion entitled "Subprime Issues for D&O." The panel explored issues being faced by the insurance industry with regard to the subprime crisis, particularly as the industry attempts to better understand and quantify the exposure. Specifically, Dr. Plancich and her co-panelists focused on the impact that the increasing number of class action lawsuits is having on the insurance industry.
