Energy experts convened at this conference in Boston on 25-26 June 2009 to examine the current status and possible impacts of new federal and state initiatives, including the federal stimulus package, climate change and carbon reduction initiatives, the next wave of renewable technologies in the region, and expanded opportunities for increased investment in the sector. NERA Vice President Kurt Strunk participated in a session entitled "Getting Renewable Power to Market: Transmission Availability and Location." Mr. Strunk addressed obstacles associated with getting renewables built and integrated into the market.
