8th ACCC Regulatory Conference: The Evolution of Regulation

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's (ACCC) eighth annual regulatory conference saw industry participants, policy makers, academics, and those involved in regulation convening to hear and discuss the latest ideas about the theory and practice of regulation. The ACCC is Australia's national agency with responsibility for dealing with competition matters and enforcing the Trade Practices Act.

NERA Director Greg Houston spoke about how best to measure the success of competition policy reforms as they apply to various infrastructure industries. Mr. Houston's presentation was based on a NERA report commissioned by the ACCC, titled Assessing the Impact of Competition Policy Reforms on Australia's Infrastructure Performance.
