NERA Experts Discuss the Economics of Antitrust in China

On 22 September 2009, NERA Senior Vice President Dr. Gregory K. Leonard and Senior Consultant Dr. Fei Deng presented a case study on the economic analysis of coordinated interaction to the Antimonopoly Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China in Beijing. In addition, Dr. Leonard and Dr. Deng, along with Analyst Chen Li, met with representatives of the Anti-Monopoly and Anti-Unfair Competition Enforcement Bureau of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) on 22 September and the Division of Antimonopoly of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on 25 September. Dr. Leonard also gave a presentation entitled "The Role of Economics in Antitrust" at the China University of Political Science and Law on 21 September and a presentation entitled "Relevant Market Definition" at the 4th Duxes Antitrust Law Seminar on 26 September, both in Beijing.
