NERA Special Consultant Dr. Elizabeth M. Bailey participated in a brown bag luncheon hosted by the Antitrust Committee of the Boston Bar Association on 22 February 2010. The chief economists at the federal antitrust agencies have proposed a measure of upward pricing pressure (UPP) as an alternative to market shares or market concentration statistics. Dr. Bailey discussed the economics of UPP and the implications going forward.
