Dr. Jennifer Shulman Joins NERA Economic Consulting as Vice President in Global Transfer Pricing Practice

New York -- NERA Economic Consulting, a leading global provider of economic advice and analysis in business, legal, and regulatory matters, announced today that Dr. Jennifer Shulman has joined the firm as a Vice President in its Global Transfer Pricing Practice.
Dr. Shulman specializes in the fields of transfer pricing, international trade, and political economy. She has directed a broad range of engagements in economic valuation and transfer pricing, with a focus on domestic and cross-border transactions involving complex transfer pricing issues. Her expertise includes advising and structuring international transfer pricing and taxation issues and cross-spectrum industry and product comparable analyses.

Dr. Shulman joins NERA from KPMG LLP's Chicago office, where she was a Managing Director in the economic valuation and transfer pricing practice. While at KPMG, Dr. Shulman led documentation, planning, Advance Pricing Agreements, and controversy resolutions, including assisting companies with global transfer pricing audit defense and settlements with revenue authorities in several jurisdictions. Prior to KPMG, she worked for Ernst & Young LLP's international transfer pricing group.
Dr. Shulman has been a speaker at several transfer pricing and international tax conferences, most recently at the Atlas Intermediate US International Tax Update conference in Chicago in July 2009. She received her PhD and MA in political science from the University of Michigan, with a major in international political economy and a minor in statistical and quantitative methods. Her dissertation studied US trade disputes with Canada, the EU, and Japan. She earned her BA with honors from McGill University.
