NERA Economic Consulting Launches New Energy Markets Publication

22 January 2009

22 January/New York -- NERA Economic Consulting, a leading global provider of economic advice and analysis in business, legal, and regulatory matters, has released the inaugural edition of its new publication, Energy Market Insights. Published by the firm's Energy, Environment, and Network Industries (EEN) Practice, each issue of Energy Market Insights will offer insightful quantitative analysis from NERA's top energy experts on critical issues affecting the electricity and natural gas industries around the globe.

"NERA has been prominent in the field of energy economics since the firm was founded almost 50 years ago," said Dr. Michael Rosenzweig, Senior Vice President and Chair of the firm's EEN Practice. "Energy Market Insights provides another vehicle for NERA's energy experts to share their cutting-edge analysis and insights on today's most pressing issues."

Energy Market Insights will be published quarterly, and is edited by a committee spanning our global EEN practice: Sean Gammons, an Associate Director in NERA's London office; Jonathan Falk, a Vice President in our New York City office; and Ann Whitfield, an Associate Director in our Sydney office. The first issue examines natural gas storage valuation and investment incentives, focusing on the example of Great Britain, where declines in local production and growing dependence on long-distance imports have led to calls for major investments in new gas storage capacity.

Energy Market Insights is delivered electronically, and subscriptions to the publication are free. For more information, please visit our website.
