Feasibility Study on Evaluation of Air Transport White Paper
28 July 2006
London/28 July 2006 -- The UK Department for Transport (DfT) has commissioned NERA Economic Consulting to create an evaluation strategy for future evaluations of the policies set out in the 2003 Future of Air Transport White Paper. The White Paper establishes a strategic framework for the future of air transport in the UK. It includes statements of Government support for specific airport runway and terminal enhancements, and policy positions on noise and other environmental impacts, as well as other aspects of aviation including the promotion of Route Development Funds. The evaluation strategy will establish a methodological framework for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and impact of the policies set out the White Paper over the period 2003-2030. This was one of the commitments of the White Paper.
