Experience
Dr. Bernstein specializes in developing economic models applied to fields related to energy and the environment, including climate change policy, alternative-fuels vehicles, fuel markets, auctions, and electricity generation. He has been involved in numerous projects requiring the use of computable general equilibrium models to assess the economic impacts of various energy and environmental policies on countries, industries, or both. His clients have included corporations, industry groups, and government agencies. He has published several articles on energy and climate change issues.
Prior to joining NERA, Dr. Bernstein was with Charles River Associates' Energy & Environment Practice, and previously worked at Hawaiian Electric Company.
