Experience
Ms. Ringelstetter Ennis is an accomplished consultant and manager, having held a number of senior positions in both consulting and product development firms. She has been involved in the energy industry for nearly two decades and specializes in wholesale power markets, regulation and the evolution of competitive markets, and the simulation of electric systems. Ms. Ringelstetter Ennis' recent work has focused on the merchant generation sector and competitive markets. Her experience covers all aspects of electric utility analyses, including asset valuation, financing support, and methodologies and algorithms for simulation of electric utility systems. Throughout her career, she has also appeared as an expert witness before the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, several state commissions, and in arbitration proceedings regarding market analysis and the generation sector.
Prior to joining NERA, Ms. Ringelstetter Ennis most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at AcuPower, a Global Energy Decisions Company, where she managed the asset purchase transaction of e-Acumen, Inc.'s product lines. e-Acumen was a startup focused on providing information, valuation, and risk management products to the energy merchant industry. At e-Acumen, she was the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Product Development. She was responsible for the oversight of e-Acumen's four product lines focused on risk management, asset valuation, and trading analytics, as well as the advisory services related to these areas. During her tenure at e-Acumen, Ms. Ringelstetter Ennis also started her own successful asset valuation practice and developed a merchant generation tracking tool. In addition, she has directed several projects related to financing and valuation services, with a focus on market-based approaches using hybrid modeling techniques, and has advised several clients on market rules and market dynamics.
Prior to e-Acumen, Ms. Ringelstetter Ennis was a Vice President with PHB Hagler Bailly. In this role, she was the project manager for several financing and valuation projects, including some of the largest debt placements in the industry. She has led asset valuation teams in the successful acquisition of more than 15,000 MW of generation and has completed several Independent Market Consultant Reports for debt placement. In addition to her financing work, she has led teams on most of the divestures and asset auctions in the sector.
Prior to PHB Hagler Bailly, Ms. Ringelstetter Ennis was a Principal for RW Beck, where she was responsible for market assessments and competitive market studies. She also worked as a generation planning engineer for Madison Gas and Electric Company.
Ms. Ringelstetter Ennis has recently presented her work on topics such as "The Role of Volatility", "Market Price Volatility, the Market-Based Approach", and "Risky Business: The 21st Century Energy Company, Evaluating Plant Asset Value Risk". She holds an MS in industrial engineering-operations research and a BS in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
