Experience

Dr. Chanyshev is a Senior Consultant in NERA's Securities and Finance Practice. He is an expert in the areas of general securities litigation, shareholder class actions, securities and business valuation, and investment management litigation. His recent work has focused on economic analysis and research associated with structured finance, derivatives, market timing, tax disputes, and bankruptcy.

Prior to joining NERA, Dr. Chanyshev worked as an Associate at Cornerstone Research, where he specialized in complex domestic and international litigations. Before that, he gained extensive finance, accounting, and business analysis experience working at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and Renaissance Capital. Prior to beginning his career in business, Dr. Chanyshev held a research position at Moscow University. He is the author of six academic papers in mathematical journals published by the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow University, and the London Mathematical Society.

Dr. Chanyshev received his PhD and MS/BS in mathematics from Moscow University and his MBA in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Fellow of the UK's Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds a diploma in business and economics from the American University in Moscow.
