Experience
Ms. Cartwright is a Consultant in NERA's European Competition Policy Practice, Editor of NERA's Global Antitrust Weekly, and Head of Information and Market Research for NERA's European Competition Policy team.
Ms. Cartwright provides detailed market analysis, business information, and market research, drawing upon a wide range of public and proprietary data sources, and operating across the full range of business sectors. Her work has been used in the majority of cases undertaken by the European Competition team in recent years, including merger control and competition policy cases before the European Commission, the UK competition authorities and regulators, and the South African Competition Tribunal. Cases in which she has been heavily involved include P&O Princess/Royal Caribbean, P&O Princess/Carnival and Carlton/Granada, the OFT investigation of Pharmacies, and the Competition Commission investigation into veterinary medicines. Ms. Cartwright has undertaken extensive market research into many sectors including healthcare, music, pharmaceuticals, transport, consumer goods, and retailing.
As Editor of NERA's Global Antitrust Weekly, Ms. Cartwright manages NERA's global research on competition policy cases across Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa and maintains NERA's extensive archives and resources on global competition policy cases around the globe.
Prior to joining NERA, Ms. Cartwright was a consultant at the Oxford competition policy consultancy, LBE, acquired by NERA in 2002, and before that was a consultant to the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business, and a planning executive at a London-based advertising agency. She received her MA from the Unversity of Cape Town, South Africa, and her BA (Hons. First Class) in modern history from the University of Oxford.
