Experience
Mr. Berenblut provides expertise in strategy, financial investigation, valuation, finance, economics, and dispute resolution to the legal and business communities. He has professional designations and serves clients in the US, in Canada, and internationally. He has 25 years of experience in major securities and antitrust class actions, securities and business valuation, damage quantification, financial investigation, and complex litigation.
Mr. Berenblut is frequently qualified by the courts as an expert witness at trial and arbitration and has been appointed as an arbitrator and as a mediator. He leads teams in the analysis of a variety of economic, business, and financial matters on behalf of law firms, investment banks, public and private companies, government, and not-for-profit entities.
He is also a managing partner of a US venture capital investment fund and a member of the investment committee of a charitable foundation, and has served on the board of a US public company.
A graduate of The London School of Economics, Mr. Berenblut is also an Accredited Senior Appraiser; a CPA, CA; a Fellow Chartered Business Valuator; a Certified Mediator; and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is the co-author/author of two books: The Litigator's Guide to Expert Witnesses and Proving Economic Loss. He is a member of the UK Academy of Experts and the Editorial Board of The Journal of Business Valuators, and was also a member of the subcommittee of the CIBCV Professional Practice Committee revising the Code of Ethics.
