Experience

Dr. Daskin specializes in antitrust matters, focusing on the competitive effects of mergers, acquisitions, pricing practices, and contracts on industry performance. He has analyzed such issues in many industries, including writing instruments, concert promotion, rental trucks, turbomachinery, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and various consumer goods industries. He has also directed a large-scale project on the estimation of damages in a securities fraud case.

Before joining NERA, Dr. Daskin was on the faculty at Wellesley College, where he taught statistics, finance, and economics. In addition, he taught finance and managerial economics at the Boston University School of Management. Dr. Daskin also served as an economist in the Financial Structure Section of the Division of Research and Statistics at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, where he analyzed antitrust issues in the banking industry.

He has published articles in various professional journals, including The Antitrust Bulletin, The Journal of Industrial Economics, Economics Letters, The Southern Economic Journal, The Journal of Economics and Business, The Review of Industrial Organization, Financial Practice and Education, and Financial Analysts Journal.
