Ms. Klein is a member of NERA's Securities and Finance and Mass Torts and Product Liability Practices. She specializes in the analysis of economic and financial issues arising in litigation, regulation, public policy, and management.
Her work at NERA has included performing valuation analyses to determine "but-for" stock prices and shareholder class action lawsuits; evaluating the efficiency of the securities' markets; assessing the extent of conflicts among class members; and modeling individual trading patterns to estimate potential aggregate damages. She has also used regression analysis to predict settlements for shareholder class action lawsuits and assessed the adequacy of asbestos bankruptcy trusts for future asbestos claimants.
Prior to becoming a Consultant at NERA, Ms. Klein was a Consultant for Putnam Investments, where she provided statistical analysis and programming support to small-, mid-, and large-cap portfolio managers. She holds an MA in statistics from Harvard University and a BA in mathematics from Mount Holyoke College, where she graduated magna cum laude with High Honors.
