Experience
Dr. Hamm has broad experience in financial modeling, with special expertise in decision analysis and real options. He has over 20 years of experience modeling difficult organizational problems and creating solutions in a variety of industries, particularly energy.
Dr. Hamm has developed and advised on financial models used in evaluating investment opportunities, individual plant and portfolio analyses, stock analysis, and other areas. His work has covered electricity supply, transmission, and distribution; renewable energy; environmental issues; pharmaceuticals; and other industries, both in the US and internationally.
Before joining NERA, Dr. Hamm founded and served as CFO for both Agni Corporation, a developer of renewable energy sources focused on India, and Stratelytics LLC, a consultancy focused on the energy industry. He was previously a partner at Applied Decision Analysis and a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Dr. Hamm is widely published on topics related to the energy industry and financial modeling, and has presented at conferences, seminars, and workshops around the world. He has lectured at Stanford, the University of California, Berkeley, and CSU Hayward. Dr. Hamm holds a PhD and MS in engineering-economic systems from Stanford University, and an MS and BS in civil engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
