Experience

Mr. Mori has more than 15 years of experience working with both multinational and Japanese corporations on projects involving intercompany pricing, business strategy, process reengineering, and economic analysis. He previously served as Director of A.T. Kearney's Economics Consulting Group for Asia-Pacific, where he was the co-leader of that practice in Tokyo and was responsible for new product development in the economic consulting area. At NERA, Mr. Mori and his team are based in the firms Tokyo office, where they develop and defend effective arm's length transfer pricing strategies for both Japanese and non-Japanese multinationals, as well as conduct economic analysis for various areas, including intellectual property, antitrust and competition policy, and securities.

Mr. Mori's experience includes intercompany pricing, as well as business strategy, valuation of intellectual property, disputes in antitrust/competition policy matters, credit risk management, and business process reengineering. His expertise covers a variety of industries, including automotive, auto parts, chemicals, construction equipment, consumer electronics, consumer products, medical equipment, microprocessors, office equipments, pharmaceuticals, and software. As an independent economist, Mr. Mori has also played significant roles for various transfer pricing clients in negotiations with the Japanese National Tax Administration, the US Internal Revenue Service, the Inland Revenue in Singapore, and numerous tax authorities in other regions including Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, and Switzerland.

Mr. Mori has an MBA with an emphasis in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in economics from the University of Tokyo. He has spoken at numerous industry and trade conferences and is a regular contributor to the Japanese magazine, International Taxation.
