“James is a trusted advisor to his clients and has been one of the firm’s leaders for many years now,” said NERA President Dr. Lawrence Wu. “His dedication to developing the next generation of antitrust economic experts, broad global perspective, and outstanding reputation among his NERA colleagues will greatly benefit our clients and ensure the ongoing success of the practice and the firm.”

Mr. Mellsop is considered one of the leading competition economists in the world, particularly on the merger and regulatory issues that are front and center in Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Mellsop has provided expert evidence before courts, tribunals, competition authorities, and arbitrators in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, and has also worked on projects in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Thailand.
