Ms. Segurola is a Senior Consultant with more than 10 years of experience as a professional economist. She specializes in the analysis of economic and financial issues that arise in complex financial and commercial disputes, with a focus on financial and regulatory economics.

A significant focus of Ms. Segurola's recent work involves assessing economic damages and other economic issues in the context of international arbitrations, including matters before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).

Ms. Segurola's consulting experience in litigation and international arbitration includes estimating economic damages in commercial disputes (including forgone revenues and consequential losses), valuing assets in the context of political intervention, and undertaking profitability analyses of regulated entities.

In the area of economic regulation, Ms. Segurola has undertaken several consulting projects involving the assessment of risks in regulated industries (water, gas and electricity distribution and transmission, and airports). She has also provided economic analysis on various regulatory issues in connection with a water concession contract dispute over a utility's tariff setting methodology.

Prior to joining NERA, Ms. Segurola worked as a financial analyst, first assessing corporate credit risk for a major oil company and later analyzing the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions for an online financial information provider.
