Bryan Tomlin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the California State University Channel Islands Martin V. Smith School of Business. As a consultant, Dr. Tomlin applies statistical analysis to economic models, focusing on issues arising from competition, regulation, public policy, strategy, finance, and litigation, particularly in the area of labor and employment.

His work primarily involves intellectual property and antitrust matters, in which he conducts thorough analyses of IP valuations, hypothetical negotiations, lost profits, reasonable royalties, and mergers. Additionally, Dr. Tomlin’s expertise extends to labor market practices, alleged price fixing, and various aspects of class certification, particularly in sectors such as telecommunications, digital platforms and technology, healthcare, and financial institutions.
Dr. Tomlin regularly authors expert reports and white papers and conducts interdisciplinary research in the fields of discrimination, medicine, and behavioral economics. He has served as referee for a number of journals, including the American Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Geography, Business & Society, and the Journal of Economic Education.
