Videotapes of Lectures for Economics 244: Discrete Choice Methods with Simulation

By Professor Kenneth Train
University of California, Berkeley; Spring Semester 2001

To download a lecture, RIGHT click on the link below, then select "Save Target As..." and specify where you want the file to be put on your computer. The files are fairly large (200-500 megs) and so they will take a while to download even with a fast connection. They are .rm files, which means that they are in RealPlayer format. Once you have downloaded a file, you can view it in RealPlayer by just clicking on the filename. If your computer does not automatically play .rm files, then you can download and install the free RealPlayer from www.real.com. It might be possible to configure MediaPlayer to handle RealPlayer files, or to add a code that does the translation, but I don't know if or how.

IMPORTANT: The quality of the videos is not very good, for which I apologize. The biggest difficulty is that some of the material that I write on the board becomes hard or impossible to see. I suggest that you read the relevant parts of the textbook before watching the videos. The lectures follow the text, and so, by reading the text beforehand, you will be able to infer what is on the board even if you cannot see it.
