Experience

Ms. Kitaychik is an Associate Director in NERA's Securities and Finance, and International Arbitration practices. She specializes in the analysis of economic issues in securities litigation matters, including damages estimation.

Ms. Kitaychik has testified and consulted on a number of matters involving fixed income securities and funds, municipal markets, leveraged investment strategies, and investment portfolio analyses. Ms. Kitaychik's expertise includes applications of quantitative methods in finance, including derivative pricing, investment portfolio analyses, and statistical methods.  She has also worked extensively with large, complex data sets and algorithms in various contexts, including regulatory investigations.

Ms. Kitaychik has worked extensively on projects involving broker-customer disputes, complex financial assets valuation, business valuation, asset and portfolio mispricing, market manipulation, trading strategies analyses, international arbitration matters, and insider trading. She has also developed economic, financial, and statistical models for a number of matters involving subprime and structured finance securities, structured notes, and risk management. Ms. Kitaychik's work has spanned a range of industries including hedge funds, mutual funds, banking, subprime mortgage origination, asset management, and commodity markets. Her projects often involve financial assets, businesses, and funds located in many geographies, including the US, Puerto Rico, Europe (including Eastern Europe), and Latin America.  

Ms. Kitaychik is a co-author of “Credit Derivatives and Mortgage-Backed Securities” in The Handbook of Mortgage-Backed Securities (Frank J. Fabozzi, ed., 2016).

Ms. Kitaychik received her MBA with distinction from New York University (NYU) Stern School of Business, her MS in Mathematics in Finance from Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU, her MA in Economics from Wesleyan University, her Bachelor's in International Economics (cum laude) from the University of Economics and Law (Kyiv, Ukraine), and her Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) from Vinnytsia National Technical University (Ukraine). In 2012, Ms. Kitaychik received the W. Edwards Deming academic award for "demonstrated excellence in the field of statistics." She also successfully completed advanced graduate coursework in statistics at Columbia University.
