Mr. Kvekvetsia is an Associate Director in NERA's London Energy Group. He is an experienced modeler who is responsible for maintaining and continuously developing a range of NERA's in-house tools such as our European electricity market simulation model (EESyM), our game theoretical supply function equilibrium model, and EnergyMetricsTM, our energy risk management and valuation platform, which includes our E-StorMTM gas and hydro storage valuation model. Mr. Kvekvetsia leads modeling tasks for corporate and government clients, with applications including market due diligence, valuation and risk analysis of generation and storage assets, merger cases, and litigation. His experience also includes developing an investment appraisal tool for a UK water utility, advising utilities on transmission tariffs, estimation of damages under long term power purchase agreements, a dispute under WTO, and assessment of credit card default rates.

Prior to joining NERA, Mr. Kvekvetsia worked as a Financial Analyst in the World Bank Country Office in Tbilisi. As a member of the energy sector team, he participated in all stages of the preparation, implementation, and supervision of projects in power, oil, and gas sectors, with a geographic focus on Moldova, Ukraine, and Georgia. Mr. Kvekvetsia has an MSc degree in economics and finance from the University of Warwick. He also has a Diploma with Distinction in the management of banking from Tbilisi Business Academy and Diploma with distinction in physics from the Tbilisi State University.
