Associate Director Dr. Jackie Chorn and Senior Consultant Dr. Stephanie Child will speak at INTA’s (International Trademark Association) 2022 Annual Meeting Live+, held in Washington, DC, from 30 April through 4 May.

Dr. Chorn will lead a discussion titled “The Importance of Knowing Aided Brand Awareness When Assessing Consumer Confusion with an Eveready: How Much Aided Awareness Is Needed?” Her discussion will provide a review of recent literature, questions regarding aided awareness levels, and practical considerations for practitioners involved in surveys for likelihood of confusion cases.

Dr. Child will lead the discussion called “Use of Consumer Surveys in Trademark Litigation,” beginning with a topic overview. She will also discuss the types of questions consumer surveys can be used to address, how surveys are evaluated by the court, how to avoid common pitfalls, and other matters.
