On 25 April, the GW Competition & Innovation Lab will host the inaugural Beyond Dynamic Competition conference. The conference is a symposium on “Beyond Dynamic Competition,” a forthcoming special issue of the ABA’s Antitrust Law Journal. The conference will bring together leading scholars, practitioners, and regulators to delve into dynamic competition and the journal’s articles during two fireside chats with enforcers and several discussion sessions.

Four NERA experts will participate in the event. Managing Director and GW Competition & Innovation Lab Senior Fellow Chris Stomberg will participate in the “Disruptive Innovation and Antitrust” session. Senior Consultant Emilie Feyler, who is also a Senior Fellow at the GW Competition & Innovation Lab, will discuss the article “When Dynamic Competition and Static Competition Merge: Antitrust, Innovation Questions, and the Case of Generative Artificial Intelligence.” Director Emily Walden will join the “Big Data and Competition Law: Lessons from Innovation Markets” session as a discussant. Finally, Director Cristián Hernández will speak during “Understanding Dynamic Competition: Perspectives on ‘Monopoly’ and Market Power in the Digital Economy.”
