AICPA International Issues Conference

Washington, DC
10 January 2008
Hosted By: the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)

The growth in international business has increased the scope and complexity of international tax, accounting, auditing, and business issues being faced by those in public practice, business, and consulting. With this in mind, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants hosted this international business conference in Washington, DC on 10-11 January 2008. NERA Vice President Dr. Stuart Harshbarger taught a workshop entitled "Transfer Pricing -- Application of the New US Services Regulations: Case Studies from the Field." Dr. Harshbarger described how to effectively apply the new US Services Regulations and presented three case studies examining multinational corporations without embedded intangibles, with embedded R&D and technology intangibles, and with embedded marketing and sales intangibles.
