Litigation can be one of the most strategically important business issues facing today's corporate decision makers. This summit, held in New York City on 5-6 October 2010, explored a range of business litigation issues including risk management, shareholder issues, the impact of media, and the challenge of international dispute resolutions. On the second day of the summit, Dr. Andrew Carron, President of NERA, delivered a luncheon presentation entitled "The Emerging Business of Business Litigation." Dr. Carron discussed trends in major areas of practice including securities, intellectual property, antitrust, and tax; how a company can prepare for itself for litigation; and business litigation portfolio management.
