NERA and Noerr LLP, in cooperation with the European American Tax Institute, hosted a workshop in the Munich office of NERA sister company Oliver Wyman on 28 January 2010. Special attention was devoted to the topic of "relocation of functions" in light of the recent draft of new Administrative Guidelines, which specify the relevant German transfer pricing legislation and regulations of this topic. Speakers, including NERA Special Consultant Dr. Alexander Voegele and Vice President Stuart Harshbarger, used case studies as a basis for sharing transfer pricing theory and related practical experience. Topics included how to structure relocations of functions and value relocated functions, and how to take account of the new US cost sharing regulations.
