Experts from NERA's Securities and Finance Practice participated in a live broadcast, hosted by the SEC Historical Society on 26 July 2011, examining economic risk and cost-benefits in the new financial regulation rules. Senior Vice President Dr. Robert Mackay spoke on quantification of systemic risk; Dr. James Overdahl, Industry Affiliate and former Chief Economist with the SEC, spoke on role of cost-benefit and regulatory impact analysis in regulatory rulemakings; and Senior Vice President Dr. Faten Sabry spoke on Implications of the new risk retention rules for securitization. This eighth annual installment of the "Best of NERA" program was moderated by Professor F. Scott Kieff of The George Washington University Law School.
