NERA Industry Affiliate Dr. James Overdahl was invited to participate in an American Enterprise Institute panel discussion in Washington, DC on 18 June 2012 that focused on the issue of high frequency trading (HFT). The conference opened with a keynote address by US Congressman Jeb Hensarling. Dr. Overdahl and his co-panelists then discussed the impact HFT has had on market quality. The panel also discussed proposed regulatory changes affecting current market structure.
