SWP-World Energy Council Expert Roundtable

Professor Carlo Scarpa, a Special Consultant to NERA, participated in a high-level expert roundtable at the SWP-World Energy Council in Berlin on 22 November 2012. The roundtable was co-organized by the World Energy Council and Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP), an independent academic research center that advises the German government on foreign and security policy issues. The discussion took place under Chatham House Rules and behind closed doors, with the aim to gather a group of high-level international experts from the energy industry, international organizations, and academia. Professor Scarpa's presentation, "Italy Between Excess Supply and Shortage," concentrated on security of supply and gas shortage issues in the Italian gas market.
