NERA hosted a seminar in Tokyo on 19 July 2013 that examined recent experience with economic analyses in complex business disputes and litigation in Japan and the United States.

Economists from NERA's Japan and US offices introduced the use of economic analysis in fields including antitrust, intellectual property, and securities and finance. In addition, Mr. Toshiaki Tada from Hibiya Sogo Law offices and Mr. Kohei Yoshimine from Tanabe & Partners discussed the application of economic analysis in legal issues from a lawyer's point of view.
