NERA was pleased to sponsor this year's annual conference of the Panel of Recognised International Market Experts (P.R.I.M.E.) in Finance, held in The Hague on 27-28 January 2014. The conference featured a range of distinguished practitioners, academics, judges, and legislators who influence jurisprudence and dispute settlement in the international financial markets. As part of the program, NERA Vice President Dr. Sharon Brown-Hruska, a former Commissioner and Acting Chairman of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, participated in a panel discussion entitled "Increasing Legal Certainty and Reducing Systemic Risk: Legal and Market Views." She discussed how changes driven by global financial regulatory reforms have increased regulatory and litigation risks, and actions that can be taken to address and manage those risks.
