All-Energy 2014

Aberdeen, Scotland
21 May 2014
Hosted By: All-Energy

This year's All-Energy 2014, the UK's largest renewables exhibition and conference, took place in Aberdeen on 21-22 May. Experts from around the world convened to examine the latest issues and trends in the renewable energy industry in the UK and Europe and debate the key policy and technology challenges it faces, including Electricity Market Reform (EMR) and cost reduction. As part of the conference's offshore wind stream, NERA Associate Director Daniel Radov and former Associate Director Dr. Mauricio Bermudez-Neubauer were invited to present their paper "Offshore Wind Economics Under EMR: Quantifying the Risks" on 21 May, which builds on a study on the cost of capital for renewable energies that NERA produced for the UK's Department of Energy and Climate Change in December 2013 and published alongside the government's EMR Delivery Plan. Other conference speakers included the Right Honourable Alistair Carmichael MP, Scotland's Secretary of State, and Fergus Ewing MSP, Scotland's Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Tourism.
