Regulators on both sides of the Atlantic are focusing increasingly on the trading patterns and conduct of market professionals and their sophisticated investor clients across a wide spectrum of investment activity. With this in mind, McGuireWoods hosted a seminar in London on 10 June 2014 that examined the risks and impact of insider dealing and market abuse. NERA Associate Director Robert Patton joined an esteemed panel of speakers, which provided a legal update; explored recent UK and US market abuse cases; assessed the risks and rewards of corporate access, wall crossing, expert networks, and high frequency trading; and examined the regulators' response.
