NERA and McDermott Will & Emery hosted a book launch reception in Brussels on 30 January 2014 to mark the publication of Competition Damages Actions in the EU. Written by David Ashton, European Parliament, and David Henry, Associate at McDermott, the book offers a clear and concise analysis of the latest case law, legislation, and policy documentation in the field of damages actions for breach of EU competition law. The book also includes a special economic chapter on quantification written by Dr. Frank Maier-Rigaud, Head of Competition Economics Europe at NERA and Professor at IESEG (LEM-CNRS), and Dr. Ulrich Schwalbe, Academic Affiliate at NERA and Professor at the University of Hohenheim.

The main part of the book was introduced by Philip Bentley QC, Partner at McDermott Will & Emery, and the economic chapter on quantification by Rainer Becker, Deputy Head of Antitrust Case Support and Policy, European Commission.
