Competition Symposium: 65th Anniversary of the Journal of German and European Competition Law

The Competition Symposium was held on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Journal of German and European Competition Law (WuW). Leading experts and representatives of the Federal Ministry of Economics discussed the current status of the German Competition Act (GWB) and arising challenges, debating planned adjustments and possible consequences for the practice. NERA Affiliated Academic Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schwalbe discussed “The More Economic Approach: What has it become? Where did it prevail?”, with Prof. Dr. Daniel Zimmer (former chairman of the Monopoly Commission). Further experts such as Andreas Mundt (FCO president) and Dr. Wolfgang Kirchhoff (German lawyer and judge at the Federal Court, member of the Antitrust Senate) spoke about latest developments in legislation, jurisdiction, and practice.
