On 24 June 2016, NERA Associate Director, Grant Saggers joined a panel of specialists at the CMS Legal conference in Edinburgh, Scotland, to talk about “Enforcement in Financial Services in the UK: A focus on FCA and PSR market studies and competition powers.” The debate focused on how the Financial Conduct Authority brings together competition law, economics, and behavioural science to make financial services markets work better. It also debated the impact of the Brexit vote the previous day on the UK competition law landscape and financial services sector.
