Global Offshore Wind 2016

Manchester
21 June 2016 - 22 June 2016
Hosted By: Renewable UK

NERA Senior Consultant Alon Carmel is participating in the Global Offshore Wind conference on 21-22 June 2016 in Manchester, UK, which will explore why driving down the cost of power and maximising revenues from offshore wind farms are crucial to ensuring the viability and competitiveness of the sector to 2020 and beyond. Mr. Carmel will serve on the panel “Improving your Margins: Tips and Tricks to Maximise your Returns Offshore,” and will give a presentation titled “Offshore Wind Auctions – Valuation and Bidding.” The session will examine key issues for valuation and bidding over repeated auctions and will illustrate the impact of uncertainty over competitors’ costs and bidding strategy over multiple rounds. Developers will have to weigh the potential benefits of later rounds against the costs of waiting and the risks of further regulatory change. The presentation will highlight the effect of auction format, the number and strategy of other bidders, cost of capital, the view of future auctions, and regulatory risk.
