The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has recently been very active in hospital merger enforcement, with three such transactions being challenged since last year. In this program, NERA Vice President Dr. Subramaniam (Subbu) Ramanarayanan and co-panelist Jared Nagley, an attorney for the FTC, will provide a practical overview of antitrust analysis in hospital mergers, including a discussion of techniques used to define markets and assess competitive effects in recent transactions. The panel discussion will be moderated by Jeffrey Perry of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
