A workshop on “Net Neutrality and the Open Internet” took place in Lima, Peru, bringing together the Chairman of the Board of the Peruvian Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (OSIPTEL), Gonzalo Ruiz, members of his staff, telecom operators, top academics, and lawyers. The workshop was organized by cet.la (Centro de Estudios de las Telecomunicaciones de América Latina), and sponsored by ASIET (Association of Latin American Telecommunications Operators) with the Peruvian Ministry of Communications and the telecommunications regulatory agency OSIPTEL. NERA Associate Director Bruno Soria spoke on the panel on “Economic Regulation of the Internet and the Digital Ecosystem.”
